Tzadi

The Righteous Angler. Tzadi is a bent figure with a head turned upward — a Nun carrying a Yod on her shoulder: the faithful one carrying the spark. She is the root of tzaddik, and like the tzaddik she stands bent in this world and stands straight (final form) in the world to come. She fishes souls up out of deep water, gently.

Tzadi said: I am the Tzaddik — righteousness itself! True, was the answer, and precisely therefore you must stay concealed; the righteous is the foundation, and foundations do not show. Her hiddenness holds up the house.
