The most famous "application" of Sefer Yetzirah: form a body of virgin soil, and walk the 231 gates over every limb while reciting the letter-combinations — Eleazar of Worms preserves an actual recipe; the Prague legend gives it EMET on the forehead and the famous off-switch (erase the Aleph: truth → death). Read by the tradition itself as a statement about study: to master the Book of Formation is to repeat, in miniature, the act it describes. The app treats it as the myth of language's power — and its liability clause.
⚠ The origin is Sanhedrin 65b — see text-sanhedrin-golem, which this rite shipped without for a long time. Note what is not there: no virgin soil, no gates, no forehead, no aleph. The Talmud has four sentences and one test. Step four below — it cannot speak — is that test, and the app had it right without ever citing where it comes from.
