The Point of Bereshit ↔ the Singularity

Nachmanides (13th c.), on Genesis 1: the world was created from a point "the size of a mustard grain," pure potential without form, which expanded — and everything since is unfolding, not new creation. Modern cosmology's initial singularity and expansion made this the most-quoted medieval Jewish text in physics-and-religion literature. The rhyme is real and the gap is too: Ramban's point is metaphysical potential, not a metric singularity — the app quotes both sides of that argument.
