Cornelius Agrippa's encyclopedia wired Cabala into the machinery of Renaissance magic: the scales of numbers, the divine names of the sephirot in Latin dress, gematria for gentiles, angelic scripts (his "Celestial Writing" tables are copied to this day). Book III is essentially applied Kabbalah — the single most influential occult book of the Renaissance.
