Sefer ha-Bahirספר הבהיר

The Book of Brilliance — surfacing in Provence c. 1176, the first text to speak of the sephirot as a dynamic structure of divine powers, of the divine feminine, and (openly) of reincarnation. Fragmentary, gnomic, organized as pseudo-midrash: parables of kings, daughters, orchards. Where Sefer Yetzirah gave the alphabet, the Bahir gave the Tree its sap.
