Primordial Adam — in Lurianic Kabbalah, a fifth world above the four: the first configuration of light after the tzimtzum, a "body" made entirely of potential names. The lights of its ears, nose, mouth and eyes stream out to become all the worlds below. Not the Adam of Eden: Adam Kadmon is the template of which every human form is the echo.
