✥ the golden dawn
the golden dawn — the wing that TOOK. Éliphas Lévi welded the 22 tarot trumps onto the 22 letters in 1855; Mathers, Westcott and Woodman founded the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in 1888 on Kircher's diagram and Knorr's Latin; and out of that came Crowley, Waite's deck (the most successful vector of all — millions hold this wing's path-attributions in their hands and call it a tarot deck), Regardie, Fortune and Case. Four models in the Order's own geometry: the Rose of 22 petals, the Rose Cross lamen, the grade ladder (an order's staff structure wearing a cosmology's clothes), and the four colour scales as an object. THE TAKING · WHERE IT DIVERGES (ceremonial magic vs devotional study; compulsion vs participation; Hebrew as a symbol-set rather than a living language) · and the pillars exhibit, where the globes that used to stand in our own pardes now live, labeled as the 18th-c. lodge furniture they are. This is the door where the app turns around and looks at its own glass. Reference throughout; nothing evocatory is invocable. Its own toolbar carries ✥ trace a word on the rose — the sigil tracer lives here now, not as a separate menu entry.
