Painter of the "zip" — a vertical band interrupting a field of colour. Titles: Onement, Abraham, Covenant, Joshua, Uriel, Day One, Vir Heroicus Sublimis, and two sculptures called Zim Zum.

The centre of this wing, and the centre of its argument. His archived note reads: "Out of ZimZum was the world created. Only out in subjectivity can come the sense of exaltation." Whether that makes him a kabbalist or a man who liked the word is what the next four nodes are about.
The self, terrible and constant, is for me the subject matter of painting.
