Archie Rand

Brooklyn painter who between 2001 and 2015 made The 613 — one painting for every commandment in the Torah, in the visual language of pulp comics and paperback covers.

⭐⭐ AND THIS APP HAS ITS OWN ROOM FOR THE SAME LIST. ⌗ the 613 renders the commandments as a shelf of woven plates; Rand rendered them as 613 lurid canvases and hung them as one wall. Two people took an enumeration and made it something you look at rather than read.
