THE ATLAS OF THE EMPTY THRONE

Saṃsāra · the six realms

saṃsāra
nature
The round turns through six destinations — gods, jealous demigods, humans, animals, hungry ghosts, hells — all of them temporary, the heavens included, whose inhabitants have the worst problem of all: they are too comfortable to practise. Human birth is the lucky one because it hurts enough to motivate and not so much that it overwhelms.

The cosmology, and the direct rhyme with the Kabbalah's gilgul — which is unusual enough among Abrahamic systems to be worth the whole thread.

whyGilgul returns a specific soul with a specific assignment and ends when the work is done; the round moves a causal continuity with nobody in it and ends when the wanting stops. Shared premise, opposite mechanism.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
