THE ATLAS OF THE EMPTY THRONE

The wheel of becoming

the wheel
nature
The bhavacakra, turning: three poisons chasing each other at the hub, six realms in the spokes, twelve links on the rim, held in the jaws of impermanence. Its argument is its geometry — a ring whose last link conditions its first, so there is no beginning. And you can cut the chain: it parts at ignorance, the running light dies, and the wheel coasts to rest.

The only model on the whole kindred-ways bench that you can switch off — nirodha, the third Noble Truth, made mechanical. A toggle stands the Tree's lightning flash beside it: a chain with a top.
