The Rose Cross · and the Rose of 22 petals

The Order's emblem: a cross with a twenty-two-petalled rose at the crossing, elements and planets on the arms, pentagram and hexagram, and the letters of I.N.R.I. and L.V.X.

CREDIT WHERE IT IS OWED. The rose's three rings are 3, 7 and 12 — three mothers, seven doubles, twelve simples — which is the Sefer Yetzirah's own division of the alphabet, read correctly and drawn beautifully. What is theirs is the rose and the cross: Rosicrucian and Christian emblems with no Jewish source.
