THE ATLAS OF THE ORDER THAT TOOK

The Cipher Manuscripts

the Cipher MSS
nature
Sixty folios in a simple substitution cipher — the alphabet running backwards, a schoolboy's code — sketching five initiation rituals and a grade structure. The paper dates to the nineteenth century; the authorship does not resolve.

The Order's warrant, and the weakest link in its chain. Candidates for the actual author include Kenneth Mackenzie, the SRIA circle, and Westcott himself. The app records the dispute and declines to settle it.
