THE ATLAS OF THE ORDER THAT TOOK

The Rider-Waite-Smith deck

the RWS deck
nature
Seventy-eight cards designed by Waite, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith, published by Rider. Its innovation — full illustrated scenes on the minor arcana instead of arrangements of pips — made the deck readable at sight.

More people have met the sephirot through this object than through every Jewish source in history combined. It carries, invisibly, the Order's path attributions, its Kabbalistic frame, and its two pillars standing behind the High Priestess.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
