THE ATLAS OF THE ORDER THAT TOOK

W. B. Yeats

Yeats
nature
Poet, Nobel laureate, and a serious working member of the Order for decades under the motto Demon Est Deus Inversus. He took the grade examinations, fought in the 1900 revolt on the anti-Mathers side, and built his late symbolic system on this material.

The proof that this was not a marginal amusement. One of the great poets in English organised his imagination around the Order's Kabbalah, and the poems everybody reads are downstream of it.
Turning and turning in the widening gyre / The falcon cannot hear the falconer.
