The claim, older than the Gnostics and taken from Plato's Meno and Phaedo, that learning the deepest things is really RECOLLECTION — the soul recovering what it knew before it arrived here.
It explains why the call contains no new information. Everything the letter tells the prince he already knew; the call does not teach, it reminds — and that is why gnosis can be instantaneous in a way that education never is.

whyBinah is the mother to whom things return. And the Talmudic image is uncannily close: the angel who teaches the whole Torah in the womb and taps the child on the lip at birth so that it is forgotten — leaving a life of remembering.
