Horos · the Limit

Horos
nature
ὅρος, the Boundary — the power that closes behind Sophia after her reach, separating the fullness from what is outside it and keeping the disturbance from spreading. In some accounts it also purifies her intention and returns the recoverable part of her upward.

The system's immune response, and a genuinely subtle idea: the fullness protects itself not by punishing the transgressor but by RE-ESTABLISHING A LIMIT, and part of her comes home.
rhymes with
sephirahgevurah
whyGevurah is precisely the drawing of a limit so that a thing can hold together. Kabbalistic tzimtzum is a contraction that makes room; Horos is a boundary that keeps a wound from spreading. Both are severities in service of a whole.
