Kenoma · the emptiness

kenoma
nature
κένωμα, "the void" — the technical Valentinian term for everything outside the fullness: not nothing, but the region of deficiency, where things are copies and shadows of what is complete.

It gives the system a vocabulary for LACK as a positive condition rather than a mere absence — which is what makes the Gnostic account of the world a diagnosis rather than a complaint.

sephirahmalkhut
whyThe Tree's counterpart is not a void but Malkhut — the Kingdom that has nothing of its own and receives everything, and which the tradition calls poor precisely so it can be filled.
