THE ATLAS OF THE ALIEN SPARK

The Hymn · forgetting, played

the hymn
nature
The Hymn of the Pearl run as an experience rather than a text: as you descend, the interface itself loses its words in the order the prince loses his, until you are pressing buttons you can no longer read. The letter arrives at the sixth step and gives everything back.

The poem's claim is that forgetting is not a blank but a full, busy, employed life with the labels off. The only way to make a reader feel that is to take their labels off while they are still using them.
