THE ATLAS OF THE EMERALD TABLET
Isaac Casaubon
Casaubon
nature
A Huguenot classicist of formidable ear, who read the Greek of the Hermetica and heard the wrong century in it — vocabulary, idiom and citations of Plato that no pre-Mosaic Egyptian could have made. In 1614 he dated the corpus to the common era.
The deflation, and the app's own method four hundred years early. He did not argue about doctrine; he read the language and checked the dates. This is exactly what Tehiru does to Kircher's wiring, to the chakra chart and to the Kybalion — and it is why this room can love these texts without antiquing them.
