THE ATLAS OF THE EMERALD TABLET

Is the world beautiful, or a prison?

the internal quarrel
nature
The Hermetica cannot agree. Some treatises call the cosmos a great and beautiful god, the visible image of an invisible one. Others call the body a tomb, matter a drag, and the world a thing to escape. Both are in the same seventeen.

The line where ⁂ and ✧ divide. The Gnostics resolve the quarrel by condemning the world; the optimistic Hermetica resolve it by blessing it; the Kabbalah refuses the question — the world is broken and it is the only place the repair can be done, which is why this app blesses and does not curse.
