THE ATLAS OF THE INMOST SELF

⌖ वर्णमाला the garland of letters

the garland
nature
A room of its own: all fifty Sanskrit letters laid out as the grammarians laid them out — a 5×5 grid, place of articulation across and manner down, with the sixteen vowels at the throat. Press ⌖ the mouth and each station lights, showing the Hebrew letters made in the same place, read live out of the app's own pronunciation data. Press ◉ the garland and all fifty recolour by wheel.

A mouth-map beside a mouth-map. Sefer Yetzirah 2:3 sorts twenty-two letters by throat, palate, tongue, teeth and lips; the grammarians used the same five places and then built a grid. The counts are checked against the wheels' own model, so the two rooms can never drift apart — the petals aren't decoration, they ARE these letters. It opens from inside this wing, not from the main toolbar: the twenty-two live in the main house because they are the tradition; the varṇamālā is kin.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
