CARL JUNG AND THE KABBALAH
Aniela Jaffé
Jaffé
nature
A Berlin-born Jewish refugee analyzed first by Toni Wolff and then by Jung himself, who became secretary to the C.G. Jung Institute in 1947 and Jung’s own personal secretary from 1955 until his death in 1961. She recorded, edited and — by most later scholarly assessment — wrote most of Memories, Dreams, Reflections, the book the world reads as Jung’s autobiography.
⭐⭐ THE HAND BEHIND THE VOICE THIS WHOLE WING QUOTES AS HIS OWN. jg-vision1944 and much of what this pack treats as Jung speaking in his own words is drawn from Memories, Dreams, Reflections — and the honest complication, stated rather than smoothed over, is that only the first three chapters are now generally thought to be Jung’s own writing; the rest was assembled by Jaffé from interviews and her own drafting, published under an arrangement that let it read as his voice throughout. ⚠ This does not make the 1944 vision fabricated — Jung dictated and reviewed the material — but it means the wing’s single most-cited primary source passed through an editor’s hand more heavily than its framing usually lets on.
