CARL JUNG AND THE KABBALAH

The Red Book (Liber Novus)

The Red Book
nature
A private, hand-lettered and hand-illuminated folio Jung kept from 1913 to about 1930, recording the visions and imagined dialogues of his own "confrontation with the unconscious" after the break with Freud — locked in a bank vault by his family and not published until 2009.

⭐⭐ THE SOURCE DOCUMENT FOR EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS WING. Every concept in the packs above — the Shadow, the archetypes, active imagination itself — first appears here as raw material rather than theory, produced during what Jung later called a period bordering on psychosis he chose to treat as data instead of illness. ⚠ Jung himself never intended it for publication in his lifetime; the decision to release it was his estate's, seventy-nine years after he began it.

whyKeter is the concealed source everything downstream draws from without seeing directly — which is exactly what The Red Book was to Jung's public work for nearly a century.
