Partzufim — The Ascent Given a Structure

The "personified" structures — Atik, Arich Anpin, Abba, Ima, Zeir Anpin, Nukva — into which Ashlag's system organizes the light of the upper nine sephirot for the purpose of actually working with them, level by level, rather than treating "the upper nine" as one undifferentiated destination. Each partzuf is itself built from the same masach/aviut/ohr-chozer mechanism, nested — the ascent is not one climb but a structure of climbs, each one a smaller version of the whole.

⭐⭐ WHY "THE UPPER NINE" IS NINE THINGS AND NOT ONE. Without the partzufim, ms-malchut-only's claim that the upper nine already exist as structure would have nothing further to say about how a person actually works through them in order rather than all at once — the partzufim are that order, made explicit.
