THE ATLAS OF THE ONE AND THE MANY

Azriel of Gerona

Azriel
nature
The philosopher of the Gerona circle in Catalonia, and the writer who most deliberately put the ten sephirot into the vocabulary of Neoplatonic metaphysics — the infinite and the finite, the emanated and the emanator, the coincidence of opposites in the source. His teacher was Isaac the Blind; his circle produced Nachmanides.

The place the two currents are visibly welded. Read him and you can watch a Greek technical vocabulary being fitted to a Jewish revelation, in real time, by a man who thought both were true.
