THE ATLAS OF THE ONE AND THE MANY

The flight of the alone to the Alone

the flight alone
nature
The last sentence of the Enneads, and the tradition's picture of the summit: not a vision of the One as an object, since seeing takes two, but a union in which the seer stops being a separate thing to do the seeing.

Set it beside Sufi fanā and Kabbalistic bittul and the shapes agree. Then notice what this one lacks that both of those have: anyone else. There is no congregation at the end of the Enneads.
φυγὴ μόνου πρὸς μόνον — the flight of the alone to the Alone.

sephirahketer
whyThe top of the ascent — reached, in this tradition, by one person, silently, and alone.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
