THE ATLAS OF THE ONE AND THE MANY

Solomon Munk

Munk
nature
The German-French orientalist who, working in the Bibliothèque nationale in 1846, matched Hebrew excerpts by Shem Tov ibn Falaquera against the Latin Fons Vitae and proved that "Avicebron" — read for seven centuries by Christian scholastics as an Arab or a Christian — was a Jewish poet of Muslim Spain. Aquinas had argued against him without knowing.

Restoration as scholarship. The pack keeps him because this app's standing rule is that provenance is content: who a thing came from is part of what the thing means, and here somebody did the work of finding out.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
