THE ATLAS OF THE ONE AND THE MANY

Theurgy · divine work

theurgy
nature
Iamblichus's claim that the soul, having descended too far to think its way home, is raised by acting — with names, materials and rites in which the gods have already left tokens of themselves. Not persuasion of the divine, and not coercion of it: participation in a descent that was offered first.

The Kabbalah says exactly this of the mitzvot — commandments that are not symbols of divine things but operations upon them. Tikkun. And the distinction Iamblichus drew — participation versus compulsion, blessing versus binding — is the boundary this whole app keeps.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
