THE ATLAS OF THE ONE AND THE MANY

The concentric spheres

the spheres
nature
A bright point with three shells nested around it at falling opacity, and radii running through them. Send the light outward (proodos) or pull it back in (epistrophē), and press ♫ to hear the four levels as one string divided — 110, 220, 330, 440.

Not a ladder, on purpose. A ladder is a Hebrew image — Jacob's, and the middle pillar — and drawing Plotinus as one would quietly reskin a Greek as a Kabbalist, which is the error this whole annex exists to avoid. His own figure is concentric: a centre without extension, and everything else at a distance from it. A third control fades the Tree's vertical axis in beside the spheres, so you can see one descent drawn two ways.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
