THE ATLAS OF THE REALITY TUNNEL
D. David Bourland Jr.

Korzybski's student, an Air Force logistician by trade, who in 1965 proposed a discipline his teacher never had: write English with no form of the verb to be. He called it E-Prime. He spent decades defending it against people who found it either trivial or insane.
He drew the operational conclusion from the axiom. If no map equals its territory, then the one verb whose entire job is asserting equality deserves suspicion — and removing it makes two habits of hiding mechanically impossible.
To be or not to be — the question does not arise.
