The eight-circuit model

Leary's scheme, systematised by Wilson: eight successive "circuits" of the nervous system, four terrestrial (survival, emotional-territorial, semantic, socio-sexual) and four post-terrestrial. Wilson mapped it onto everything he could reach.

Included and clearly labelled: this is a speculative model with no neuroscientific standing. It earns its place as a piece of intellectual history and as an imaginative ladder — never as a finding.
