First position: through your own eyes. Second: through theirs. Third: from outside, watching both. Rotating deliberately through all three usually changes what the situation appears to be.

A directly usable technique with obvious kinship to older contemplative exercises, and one of the easiest things in the corpus to demonstrate in three dimensions.
