THE ATLAS OF THE REALITY TUNNEL

The reality tunnel

nature

Wilson's term for the total structure through which a person receives the world: language, imprints, conditioning, culture, expectation. Not a bias you could subtract — the medium in which perception happens at all.

The most useful single coinage he made. Korzybski gave the map; Wilson pointed out that you are inside it, and that it has a shape you can sometimes feel from within.

Reality is what you can get away with.
