The Game of Life

Leary's most playful late book, produced with Wilson's collaboration: evolution, tarot and the periodic table forced into one enormous ludic table, with the reader scored as a player.

The current's cheerful excess, preserved honestly: system-building past the edge of defensibility, and knowingly so. Also the one book on this shelf that treats existence explicitly as a game with levels — which a certain kind of reader will recognise as home.
