THE ATLAS OF THE REALITY TUNNEL
The Evidence Base for NLP
the evidence, honestly
nature
Systematic reviews have repeatedly found NLP's signature empirical claims unsupported — most decisively the eye-accessing-cue hypothesis, and broadly the "preferred representational system". Reviews of NLP as therapy find the evidence base thin and of low quality.
This node exists so that the atlas does not lie by omission. The linguistic apparatus of 1975 remains genuinely useful as a set of questions; the neuroscientific claims attached to the name have not survived testing. Both facts belong on the same map.
