Devil May Cry 5

DMC5
nature
The game's central threat is the Qliphoth: a colossal demonic tree that erupts through a city, feeds on human blood, and bears a single fruit that grants power to whoever eats it.

A clean measurement of how far a word travels from its meaning. The kelipot are shells — coverings, crusts, the concealment around a spark. They are emphatically not a tree, and the whole force of the doctrine is that evil is not a rival organism with its own roots but a rind on something good. Turning the husks into a tree inverts the exact claim the word exists to make — and produces, it must be said, a magnificent boss fight.

whyGevurah, and the reason this borrowing works dramatically: severity separated from mercy is genuinely what the tradition says the shells are made of.
