THE ATLAS OF THE SCREENS

Hereditary

Hereditary
nature
Ari Aster's film, whose cult is working to give a body to Paimon — a king of hell listed in the Lesser Key of Solomon, with a described appearance, a legion count and a rank.

A precise chain, and one that runs through this app's own boundary. Paimon reaches a 2018 horror film through the Goetia as edited and published by Mathers and Crowley in 1904 — the Golden Dawn's evocatory material, in print, becoming a modern demon-name almanac for screenwriters. ⚠ And the app's rule holds here exactly as it does in ✥ Wing J: this material is described and invocable nowhere. Naming where a film got its demon is provenance. Printing the seal would be something else.
