KULT
KULT
nature
The Swedish roleplaying game by Gunilla Jonsson and Michael Petersén. Its premise: humanity is divine, imprisoned in a false reality by a Demiurge who has since vanished, policed by Archons and their inverted counterparts the Death Angels — the two sets mapped onto the sephirot and the qliphoth respectively.
The most doctrinally committed game ever published on this material, and one that gets an important thing right that almost nothing else does: it keeps the pairing. Each shell is the shadow of a specific emanation, not a free-floating monster. ⚠ It is also a Gnostic frame wearing Kabbalistic furniture — a made prison and escape as the goal — which is a different tradition from the one the furniture comes from, and the app should say so where the game does not.
rhymes with
sephirahgevurah
whyGevurah, and its shadow — which is the game's entire subject.
