THE ATLAS OF THE POLISHED MIRROR
The laṭāʾif · the subtle centres
the laṭāʾif
nature
Six subtle organs of perception, kindled in order by directed remembrance: qalb the heart, rūḥ the spirit, sirr the secret, khafī the hidden, akhfā the most hidden — all gathered around the chest — and only nafs, the self, sent up to the brow.
The geometry is the argument. They do not climb. They cluster around the heart like a household around a hearth, because in this tradition the heart, not the head, is the organ that knows God. Set that beside the Tree's vertical pillar, Malkhut to Keter, and you have two body-maps each carrying its tradition's entire doctrine of where God is met. A hearth beside a ladder.
