THE ATLAS OF THE UNCARVED BLOCK
Liezi
Liezi
nature
The third of the classical Taoist voices, named for a sage said to ride the wind. The book bearing his name is a later compilation (c. 4th c. CE) of fables and thought-experiments — the man who feared the sky would fall, the dream-kingdoms, the tale of the Yellow Emperor.
Carries Taoism's playful, speculative edge — dreams, relativity, and cheerful doubt — and shows how the tradition kept re-gathering itself under old names.
