THE ATLAS OF THE SOCIETY THAT SPLICED

The Akashic Records

akasha
nature
A cosmic memory in which every event, thought and act is permanently recorded and can be read by a sufficiently developed seer. The term is built on Sanskrit ākāśa, ether or space; the library is Theosophical.

A clean specimen of how this wing works: a real Sanskrit word, a real philosophical category, and a wholly new nineteenth-century idea wearing it. Compare the Kabbalah's own version of the same wish — the ס״ת of the Sar Torah adjurations, twelve days of fasting to be granted retention. Both are about memory that does not fail. One asks heaven for procedure; the other claims a reading room.

whyBinah is the great retaining vessel, the womb of forms, where things are held. An indelible record is a Binah fantasy.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
