THE ATLAS OF THE SOCIETY THAT SPLICED
Annie Besant
Besant
nature
Before Theosophy: secularist orator, birth-control campaigner prosecuted for obscenity, and organiser of the 1888 London matchgirls' strike. After: President of the Theosophical Society from 1907, founder of the Home Rule League, and in 1917 President of the Indian National Congress.
The hardest single person on this bench to file. She did more concrete good than most people who ever lived and she co-authored the clairvoyant race-history. Any account of Theosophy that can dispose of Annie Besant in one direction is a bad account.

sephirahgevurah
whyGevurah is force applied — the campaigner's virtue. It is also the sephirah of judgment cut loose from mercy, which is what her cosmology became.
