The Dissolution

Discovered as a boy by Leadbeater in 1909 and groomed as the vehicle of the World Teacher, Jiddu Krishnamurti stood before some three thousand members of the Order of the Star at Ommen and dissolved it — refusing the role, declining the organisation built to receive him, and returning its funds and properties.

⚠⚠ THE FINEST MOMENT ANYWHERE ON THE DESCENDANTS' BENCH, AND IT IS A REFUSAL. His stated reason — that truth is a pathless land, and cannot be organised, and that any organisation formed to lead people to it cripples them — is a direct strike at the structure of every body on this bench, including the one that raised him. He then spent fifty-seven years saying so, to enormous audiences, without founding anything to replace it. Whatever else this wing contains, it produced this.
