Charles Webster Leadbeater

Former Anglican curate, the Society's most prolific "clairvoyant investigator", and the author of the book that gave the West its chakras. ⚠ He was also the subject of repeated and serious allegations of sexual misconduct with boys in his care, which split the Society more than once and which the movement has never satisfactorily addressed.

He is, by a wide margin, the most influential person in this entire wing on the actual daily life of modern spirituality — and this is where he is named plainly rather than left as a footnote under a diagram that a hundred million people have seen.
