Around 1,400 pages of correspondence, addressed chiefly to the journalist A. P. Sinnett, presented as written by the Masters Koot Hoomi and Morya and delivered by occult means. Now held at the British Library.

The evidentiary centre of the whole movement, and therefore the thing everyone fought about. Whether these are what they claim to be is not a question of doctrine — it is a question about ink, handwriting and cabinets, and it was investigated as such in 1885 and again in 1986.
