The Wisdom-Religion

the Wisdom-Religion
nature
The claim underneath everything else: that there exists one primordial doctrine, taught in the mystery-schools of every age, of which all the world's religions are partial, later, and mostly degraded expressions. Blavatsky calls it the Wisdom-Religion, the Secret Doctrine, and — borrowing the Sanskrit — Gupta Vidyā.

⭐⭐⭐ THIS IS THE CRUCIAL DOCTRINE, AND THE FIRST PASS OF THIS WING LEFT IT OUT. Everything else follows from it: if there is one truth behind all faiths, then comparing them is not a scholarly hobby but a method of recovery, and a sufficiently learned reader can reassemble the original from the fragments. That idea is now so widespread that it feels like common sense rather than a nineteenth-century proposal — "all religions are saying the same thing underneath" is the single most successful export of this movement, larger even than the chakras.
There is no religion higher than truth.
