Splendor as surrender: hoda'ah means both "thanksgiving" and "admission." Hod is where the flow becomes language — names, forms, rituals, spells, glyphs. Mercury: the scribe, the magician, the priest. In Hasidic psychology it is the capacity to acknowledge what is greater than you and conform to it; in the Hermetic Kabbalah it is the sphere of magic itself, where words are made to hold light.

Where Netzach surges, Hod gives thanks and gives shape — the Zohar's priestly blessing flows through this left leg of the divine body.
