Tav

The Seal at the End. Last letter, and heavy with it: Tav closes Emet (truth), Shabbat, and the alphabet itself. She is the mark set on foreheads in Ezekiel — the sign of those who sigh for what is broken. Everything unfinished reports to her eventually; she stamps it done, or sends it around again.

Tav said: I am the seal of Emet, Your own signature! And the Holy One agreed — and set her as the mark on the faithful. Yet she also seals Mavet, death: the same stamp closes a letter and a life. She carries both duties without complaint, like a notary of the infinite.
