The body of hitbodedut — alone, aloud, walking

nature
A posture layer only — the practice itself is already built in this app and is not repeated here.

Rebbe Nachman's prescription has a shape, and it is almost the opposite of every other posture in this room. Not standing to attention; not folded; not still at all. Outdoors, at night, walking, and speaking out loud in your own everyday language, for an hour. The Breslov literature is emphatic about the field and about the voice: thought recirculates, speech commits.

So the body here is doing three things the liturgy's postures never permit — it is alone, it is moving freely, and it is talking without a text. Which is worth noticing as a fact about the tradition rather than a preference within it: the same corpus that specifies the millimetre of a bow also produced a practice whose only physical instruction is go somewhere nobody can hear you and keep walking. Layer: Breslov, from 1805; the word and the idea of contemplative solitude are much older and medieval.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
